Yo!!!!

Hey ya'll I now live with my new family. I have 4 sisters ages 17, 15,13, and 10. My family is real nice and the girls like to play volleyball. When i first got to my home they were havin a huge festival for the next two days so it was a good welcoming. The festival was Senora de la paz and was a catholic festival. The first night was pretty calm but the following day was crazy!! At 11:00 the parade started which was filled with 4 mariachi bands and lots of different types of dancers who would dance in the street the whole time we were walking around the city. Then the parade ended and the festival went to the courts where each distict group did really long dances. It was probably the best introduction to their culture i could of asked for.

I'm pretty sure that i am gonna be busy i have been given 12 books so far that i need to read which probably total around 1400 pages of technical and language stuff, not your favorite john grisham book.We went to the market yesterday which is the craziest, coolest place i have been too, to buy items and everything is offered there. well it was good to hear from ya'll please tell me what is goin on in ya'lls life to. Love ya'll Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
I tried to call you last night. I got phone cards from the place you sent me, but couldn't get through. I was suppose to try again after 10, but thought that was too late. I'll try again tonight. If I don't get you give me a call. I have a few questions for you. Glad to hear all is going well. I check your page everyday. Things are going fine here. A little lonely without you and Sabo coming through. Talk to you later. Love you, MOM

Hey Jonathan,

Sounds like the festival was lots of fun. So glad you are having a great time. Nothing much happening in Arkansas. Still having mild weather here. My pool is still not poured - just a big mud hole in the back. It might take the whole two years you are gone to finish it!! Guess I'm gonna have to get on the phone and find out where the workers have been. Have a great day. Love ya, Aunt Dianne

Hi Jonathan,
Rachal and I are both trying to reach you. I tried on my home phone and that doesn't work either. I think we have the wrong number. Let us know so we can give you a call. Know you are wondering why we haven't called, but we are trying. Love you, MOM

Yo! Sledge! what's up my brother? glad to hear you made it safe and sound. everything sounds incredible. i'm glad that you're having such a great time. you know you're in the right place when they throw a huge two day party to welcome you. don't buy it when they tell you that they have the festival every year. i'm heading up to chattanooga in the morning to build a little more on the cabin. we go the roof on and there's just a little bit of siding left to do and then the soffett under the eaves. pretty soon the exterior is going to be completely done. that'll be nice. by the way, this is all just pracitce for when you get back. jeremy and i will keep an eye out for a saw mill. oh yeah...big news. i got glasses today so you can call me four eyes. it's kinda weird but i think i can dig it. the first thing i noticed was how crisp and beautiful the clouds were. i don't know when the last time i saw them that clearly was. that's the funny thing about life, there are so many slow changes that they sneak in on you and before you know it, something is completely different and you didn't even notice that it was happening until your memory gets jogged and everything goes into perspective. you say, wow! i remember when it used to be like that. but chances are you didn't even know that something was in the past tense. soak it up and don't let it sneak away brother. life is short and ever changing. when you're an old man sittin in a rockin chair on a porch you're gonna reflect back and smile about the way your life turned out. imagine how much sweeter that's gonna be when you've experienced moments like it for your whole life. so relish it now and realize what you've got before it's gone. you're in a beautiful place that is nothing but possibilities. you're blessed brother. pura vida!

festival sounds awesome; is it odd that your new sisters are all older than your girlfriend?
